He was born at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, D.C.—often called The President’s Base—because it’s where the president’s airplane, Air Force One, is kept. Brian’s dad worked with the First Helicopter Squadron, making sure everything ran smoothly so that important missions could take off without a hitch.
Even though Brian’s family moved often, he never felt alone. As the youngest in his Irish-American family, Brian was surrounded by love and care. His brothers and relatives kept a watchful eye on him, and his parents made sure he always felt safe and important.
